Lucky & Lemon started when our first kid started having dental problems.
When our kids were learning how to brush their teeth, we had only used natural, non-fluoride (and unbeknownst to us, non-mineralizing) toothpastes. Fluoride would have to wait until we were sure our babies wouldn't swallow the stuff that put the poison label on the tube! Unfortunately, a surprise root canal, infection, and tooth extraction later, our dentist recommended we switch to an extra-strength kids fluoride toothpaste. We weren't comfortable doing that, so we launched a flurry of research into non-toxic fluoride alternatives that would be safe and effective for our kids. Lucky us, we found a solution that worked for the whole family and got really excited about sharing it with others.
Did you know that it is possible to restore your teeth's enamel, naturally?!
As millennials, we were taught that once our tooth enamel was eroded, there was no getting it back. Luckily this is a "truth" we can let fade into the past as we enter a new era of daily dental care using nano-Hydroxyapatite (n-HA). N-HA is a key mineral in the natural structure of our bones and the hard layer of enamel surrounding our teeth. The growing body of literature* on n-HA as an effective fluoride alternative demonstrates that when brushing with a 10% nano-HA toothpaste, the tiny mineral particles penetrate the surface of weakened enamel to rebuild and strengthen your teeth! As n-HA fortifies our teeth's enamel density, it also fills in open dentine tubules which help teeth feel less sensitive and look naturally whiter and brighter without the use of caustic chemicals. What's not to love about that?! When we know better, we do better. Join us on the journey to smarter daily dental care.
